Accommodations & Location
For our 10th Ikaria Retreat, we are thrilled to be staying at the beautiful Karras Star Hotel and Egg Retreat Centre located in the village of Avlaki. Our accommodations are conveniently located just a 20 minute walk, or a short cab ride away from the main town of Gialiskari. Scooter and car rentals are also available at your own discretion.
The indicated retreat price is based on double occupancy per room. If you would like to stay in a single room, you can do so for an extra charge.

This hike takes you through the wild, raw and beautiful terrain of Ikaria and features small lakes, narrow rivers and little waterfalls.
Halari Canyon Hike:
These thermal baths are considered one of the best in the world in terms of healing qualities and radio energy. There is evidence that they have been there since the first century BC! Take a bath and feel the effects of the healing waters of Ikaria and enjoy a swim in another unique beautiful beach of Faros. We have a packed lunch but the beach side restaurant is incredible!

Well this is an experience that should not be missed. A Panagiri is a traditional feast by day that celebrates the saints name days and other religious holidays. Ikaria is known for these celebrations with its traditional food, live music, non-stop dancing and plenty of delicious Ikarian wine.

A fun class (and sometimes humbling) where you learn local dances with a hop and a skip and a sway that will have you smiling through out the Panagiri.
Dance Lesson
With its caves and crystal blue waters, this beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the Aegean. Come see exactly why that is. Better than in the photos.
